Some common pitfalls to consider:
- Make sure all parts of the artwork are the same colour — for example, if outputting specifically to a spot yellow, ensure that all yellows are spot and that there is no CMYK yellow too
- Screenprinters can't deal with very fine lines therefore more weight to strokes could be added
- Image setters for film and CTP systems prefer CMYK and spot while digital output usually deals happily with RGB
